Dreaming of Cancun: Part 1

I am soooo excited to share my vacation with you all today!  I have soooo many beautiful pictures so I will do my best to try not to overload you.  I thought it may be best to split this post up into sections over a few different blog posts.  We had such an amazing time that I want to share it ALL with you and also I want to document it to have over the years.  So here is Cancun part 1! :)

We were extremely exhausted from a very full week of an impromptu move, yard sale, and packing/unpacking.  We finally made it on the plane...and I slept for almost the entire ride.

We decided to go with an all inclusive resort because come on all you can eat, drink, and 24 hour room service... Who could pass that up?!!?!  We looked at several different locations, but my sister just got back from Live Aqua Cancun and couldn't stop raving about it.  And she is a very picky little thing that girl! So if she loved it, I knew that I would too! When we first arrived we were amazed!! So gorgeous, so clean, and everyone was soooo nice!!  We were greeted at the door by several people trying to take care of us.  Cold towels to wipe our face, drinks, someone to take our luggage to our room, someone to check us in, and someone to show us to our room.  We couldn't have asked for better service!

View from our balcony.

Every day they would spell something out on the beach using seaweed.  This was one of my favorite things!  I would wake up every morning and run to the window to see what was on the beach!

There were several pools at the resort, and they were all so different.  It was so nice having so many pools so that all of the guest were spread out, and it never felt crowded.  My favorites were the swim up bar and definitely the infinity pool that overlooked the ocean! It was so gorgeous and peaceful.

My absolute favorite part of the trip happened on our very first night.  We went for a stroll on the beach and this little lady was knocking over all the little tables on the beach that go with the cabanas. I can't even explain to you my excitement.  We found out that every night they come out to lay their eggs.  The last night there were several turtles on the beach, and
they dug sooo many holes to lay their eggs.

Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE room service.  I can literally go to a hotel, get room service, and feel like I had an amazing vacation! So when the boy told me we could get room service whenever I wanted it, I took full advantage.  And by taking advantage, I mean I ordered room service at least two times a day, as well as eating at the restaurants three times a day. Yep, that is a lot of eating.  And I LOVED IT!!!

We were so blessed that Jon's parents were able to come with us! We had such a blast and thoroughly enjoyed our time together! Can't wait for many more family vacations to come!

We found this little treasure tucked on the beach at our resort.  It was a tiny little bar that had swings for bar stools! Oh how I loved it! We went there several times throughout our trip, including at night when it was closed!

We rented a cabana one day on the beach and it was amazing! It was also the day I got my pineapple face that I wanted the whole trip! Eeeekk such an exciting day! Yep, it is definitely all about the little things in my book!

And yes... I made him take several cheesy pictures with me! :)

I will leave you on that note, but have plenty more to share!  I will space out the vacation photos in between fashion posts to keep things exciting! And to keep everyone from hating me...

Thanks so much for stopping by this Monday! Have a great week lovelies!
xo,
