Would You Be My.....

I have some of the best people in my life, so of course I would have tons of bridesmaids!  I decided to   have 8! Wow.. which seems to be a lot, but I just couldn't imagine that they all wouldn't be standing up at the alter with me on my  big day.  It is such an honor for me to have them all say yes! But... of course I wanted to ask them in a special way.  I have seen the "will you be my bridesmaids" gifts floating all over the internet and Pinterest.  I found some you could purchase on Etsy, but I wanted them to be a little more personalized. So, I decided I would take a shot at making my own little gift boxes.

I purchased all of the materials at Michaels and Hobby Lobby.  Michaels had these cute photo boxes on sale for about $3 a box! What a steal! I filled the boxes with things that I think any girl would love- Champagne, cute coffee mug, Godiva chocolates, a little on the go sewing kit, and a little baby picture frame.  I loved how these little gems turned out, but even more excited about all my girls being a part of our special day!

Wake For It...

Wake- The Foot Sanctuary & Shop in Asheville, NC recently sent me some AMAZING goodies!  I was so excited to receive my "mini spa in a box"!  I was in some major need for relaxation and good SKIN care! I have always had pretty good skin, but recently I don't know what is going on! Along with the stress and crazy weather, I just haven't had time to take care of my skin like I usually do.  I have been in such a rush to head out the door everyday.  Since, I received these goodies, of course I had to try them out!  And oh boy, am I so glad to add some new essentials to my daily routine.

First off, let's talk about how precious this packaging is! ANDDD... it is made of 100% recycled material!  Inside this precious eco-friendly package, there are some amazing skin care items!  The smells pouring of this box were soooo refreshing and relaxing!  I immediately opened the whipped shea first.  It actually looked sooo good I wanted to taste it.  Yes, I am weird I know, but it looked like a yummy whipped frosting, and smelled so delicious!  Once on your skin, it is just so creamy and nourishing.  Working with very young children, I tend to wash my hands at least 100 times a day!  So my dry, rough hands were literally soaking up this whipped shea!  The all natural soap is also so nourishing to the skin, and it leaves your skin feeling so refreshed and clean! But strangely enough, my favorite had to be the lip balm!  I struggle with chapped lips no matter what season it is, and no matter where I go I carry at least two chap sticks or lip balms.  I cannot stand to have dry, chapped lips, and this lip balm does wonders!

These products are definitely now some of my very favorite.  I can only imagine how amazing this spa is in person! I cannot wait to plan a trip to Asheville just to visit this little gem.  If you are in the area, you must go check them out, tell me all about it, and then let me live vicariously through you!  I am thinking after all this wedding planning and house renovations a trip to this sanctuary will be much needed!  Also, don't forget how great this little box of goodies would be for gifts! Whether it's Mother's Day right around the corner, a birthday gift, or a thank you gift, it really would make a nice gift for anybody and any occasion!  And it is only $20!! What a steal!

Thanks for stopping by loves!

Cute for a Cause!

My world has been absolutely CRAZY lately!  We are in the middle of wedding planning, selling two houses, and purchasing our first home together.  Can life please slow down for just a second so that I can take everything in?!  We are beyond blessed by all of the amazing things happening in our lives right now, but that has left NO time for my passion... my poor sweet little neglected PLP!!  I finally have a tiny bit of free time, so I would love to use this time to tell you about an amazing company I have had the pleasure of collaborating with!

I received the sweetest and most inspiring email from the creators of this amazing company.  Kidogo Kidogo was started by two sisters that wanted to make a difference.

Kidogo Kidogo translates to "little by little"in Swahili, and the sisters created it with the aim of lifting the financial barrier preventing women in Tanzania, Africa from having access to life-changing mobile technology.

In Tanzania, only 36% of women own mobile phones, and the number one reason preventing them from ownership is the initial cost of a mobile handset.  Mobile phones in Tanzania are prepaid where owners can buy credits at bodegas and other small stores around the country.  These phones are also much more to these women then just a way to communicate with family and friends, although they do enjoy this as well.  A mobile phone is a flashlight, a watch, a calculator, a camera, and a radio!  In Tanzania mobile banking is extremely common, and a phone provides women a way to make secure banking transactions.  Mobile phones are aluse used to monitor consumer markers and receive health reminders and updates.  Women with mobile phones also report a much higher feeling of personal safety than those without.

The profits made from selling phone cases go to the purchase and donations of mobile phones.  The phones are distributed to women through established non-profit partners already working in Tanzania.

If you would like to learn more about Kidogo Kidogo, you must visit their website!  Who knew that by sporting a cute cell phone case, you could be supporting a great cause and changing lives?!

Also, be sure to check out my Instagram page for a chance to win one of these awesome cases and the SCARF below from Pashmina Perfection!
